Retirement party BBQ —

A friend of mine has been teaching music his entire adult life. He is a phenomenal guitar player. This week marks his last week of school. His wife will teach music in her school one more year, then retire with him. I am so happy for him. He loves a punny joke or musical reference, so this was my parting speech for him: Something Told the Wild Geese, and us, that Mr. Dunlap, the Cape May Choral Festival Coordinator, is retiring! You might need a Skyboat to see Mr. Dunlap enjoying his Bach yard where he will by Haydn from the world when we all go back to school in September. We’re not sure we can Handel this without him, but Mr. Dunlap, thank you, congratulations and happy retirement.

Today’s joy is seeing a friend enjoy his last few days as a teacher.
