Checking-In and Singing Pretty —
We left for Allentown at 12:30. We got stuck on the NorthEast Extension for hours. But we finally made it to the hotel, checked-in, went to dinner, and came back to the hotel. I had a quick run-through of all our pieces with the choir in the hallway. It was fun to be all squished together and have our voices bounce off the walls, and to have to band and other people stop by and listen and clap at the ends of selections. It coalesced a bond that has been forming in this group all year, we all felt it. Sitting in a hotel hallway singing with middle school choir is something I think these kids will remember for the rest of their lives. It’s the little things that make the best memories.
Today’s joy is the joy of making memories.
